Join communities throughout New Mexico and the Nation to Rise for the Climate, Water, Jobs & Justice. We will gather at the Rio Grande at Bridge on the Southeast corner (at 8th St) to honor and remember the waters that sustain us as they and we feel the impacts of Global Climate Disruption. We’ll hear prayers and march to Dolores Huerta Park for a Climate Action Fair where you can register to vote, hear speakers, take action on Chaco and other urgent climate issues, and learn more about the issues and what you can do. National Drive Electric Week, September 8-16, 2018, is a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today's widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. They are fun to drive, are less expensive and more convenient to fuel than gasoline vehicles, are better for the environment, promote local jobs, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
